Snow is a magnificent thing to behold. She shines with an almost painfully white light on cloudless days and makes a day that would have normally induced a winter depression, seem like heaven temporarily found a place on earth. This is a story of how snow (probably) saved my life. I was lying deep in the snow, which had reached an impressive depth of almost two feet. I had to prop myself up on my elbows to avoid snow sneaking in through the crevice where my hood attached to my coat. I had been trekking up the hill to reach my overlook, and I was starting to get that numb prickly feeling all over. I shivered and chills raced the drop of ice
